Pershing Presents | Reverent Few Residency

Tickets and Information

Doors at 7, show at 8

"Here is a band that reminds us why live performance still matters. They have that sizzle, charisma and chemistry that elevates them. They have enough aces in their hand - a great lead vocalist, sweet vocal harmony, guitar grooves that zap ome Stax and Motown into your rhythm socket, and keen ears for serving up great live songs - that you might want to bet the farm that this band is going on to much bigger things."

Next shows - February 2, February 9

"This four-piece band of ace musicians specialize in incendiary in-the-moment performances, telepathic musical interplay, and recordings that invoke the mojo of 70’s-era R&B, soul, funk, and New Orleans second line with the satiny touch of modern soul production."

Pershing Presents | Peter More

Doors at 8 show at 9

Texas-bred singer/songwriter Peter More and his bandmates have called many places home over their decade long career. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, More joined forces with Spanish flamenco guitarist José Juan Poyatos, Mexican bassist Diego Noyola, and French-American drummer Adrien Faunce in San Miguel de Allende, the colonial arts haven three hours north of Mexico City. A chance encounter with Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen and his wife Libby Titus, who happened to be visiting San Miguel, led to Fagen producing More’s debut album, “Beautiful Disrepair”, and a follow-up EP entitled “Shoulder”.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, and alumnus of Stax Music Academy, James is an extraordinary old-school crooner on the order of Curtis Mayfield, Smokey Robinson, and Donny Hathaway. His songwriting not only reflects his deep catalog of musical influences, it depicts his concern for the historical struggles and triumphs of Black men and women in America – sensibilities that grew from his life in Memphis.

Pershing Presents | Buenos Diaz

Doors at 8, show at 9

Austin-based songwriter/guitarist Nick Diaz got most of his musical education on the road. The self-taught artist absorbed as many musical influences he could, ranging from blues to jazz, pop to rock, and his tour travels took him to hot spots like Bourbon Street, New York City, LA and the Bay Area. All of it played a huge role in the creation of lo-fi alt.-pop outfit Buenos Diaz, making the rounds in Texas and (whenever possible, while navigating the pandemic) on the road.
