Pershing Profile: Brittany Smithee
Pershing Director of Membership
If you’ve ever wondered what actually makes a membership worth it — like really worth it — we sat down with our Director of Memberships, Brittany, to get the inside scoop. Spoiler: it’s more than just perks. It’s a whole vibe.
So… what makes membership here different?
“It’s not just access — it’s belonging,” Brittany says.
Sure, there are beautiful spaces, curated events, and priority everything. But what really sets it apart? The culture. The energy. The feeling when you walk in and the room just gets you.
This isn’t a punch card. It’s a community of creatives, connectors, founders, tastemakers, and people who like their social calendar a little more elevated.
Who’s the ideal member?
According to Brittany:
“Someone who wants more than just a place to go — they want a place to land.”
Our members are curious. Engaged. Social (but selective). They value access, atmosphere, and being in rooms where interesting things happen.
If you read that and thought, well… that sounds like me, it probably is.
What do members get that non-members don’t?
Let’s just say… doors open.
Members enjoy priority reservations, access to members-only spaces and events, curated experiences, and the kind of insider perks that make last-minute plans feel effortless.
It’s the difference between attending and belonging. Between showing up and being known.
When does membership really “click”?
Brittany shared a moment that says it all:
A newer member came solo to an event — slightly unsure, testing the waters. By the end of the evening? They’d met collaborators, made dinner plans for the next week, and booked a private gathering in the space.
“That’s when it clicks,” Brittany says. “When someone realizes this isn’t just a space — it’s an ecosystem.”
And honestly? We see it happen all the time.
On the fence?
We asked Brittany what she says to someone hesitating.
“Membership isn’t an expense,” she explains. “It’s an investment in your social life, your network, your experiences — and your time. If you’re already going out, hosting, meeting, building… why not do it somewhere that gives back?”
Mic drop.
If you’re even a little curious, consider this your sign.
